Privacy policy: Home Assistant personal integration

Last updated: October 29, 2026.

Who this is

This application is a private, single-user integration operated by one individual. Its only user is its owner. It is not offered to the public.

What it accesses

With the owner’s authorization, the application uses the Google Tasks API to read the owner’s own Google Tasks lists and tasks, and to mark the owner’s own tasks as completed when he checks them off on his home dashboard. It accesses no other Google data and no one else’s data.

Where the data goes

Task data is fetched from Google at the owner’s request and displayed in the owner’s Home Assistant instance, which runs on his own hardware in his own home. Task data is not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising or analytics. No copy of the data is kept by any external service.

Removing access

The owner can revoke the application’s access at any time from his Google Account’s third-party access settings, which immediately stops it from reading or changing his tasks.
